Bridge Crossing
The Kokoda Track has been well publised lately due to a number of tragedies which have occurred on the track. A sensible approach must be made by individuals when contemplating taking on the trek. The Kokoda Track is extremely challenging both physically and mentally and a reasonable level of fitness is required. When considering walking the track you must be prepared to take on a self training program involving long walks together with some exercise involving cardiovascular routines.
A medically conducted' Stress Test' as well as jogging and walking with a light pack is highly recommended. If you have suffered from any heart problems now or in the past do not even consider the trek.
